Dr. James Ballard is a Board Certified Radiologist orginally from Opp Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and afterwards from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. His areas of special interest include interventional radiology and neuroradiology. Dr. Ballard has many outstanding accomplishments beginning with being invited to enter the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Ballard served as chief resident for the University of Alabama School of Medicine and then was selected to serve as an instructor for the Diagnostic Radiology program for the school for several years. Additionally he has served as chairman of the Department of Radiology at Baptist Medical in Birmingham, Alabama. We are honored to have a Dr. Ballard's expertise serving his first home--the Wiregrass Area.
