      If your doctor has recommended you have a diagnostic imaging test such as an X-ray, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, or mammogram, a Florida Diagnostic Imaging center is your first choice for accuracy, dependability, ease and convenience.

      Our centers offer a full range of imaging services with board-certified physicians, certified technologists, service-oriented staff and state-of-the-art imaging technologies.

      Not all imaging services are available at each location. To determine if a specific imaging procedure or study is available at the location of your choice, please visit the corresponding service or location page.

      At your examination, your doctor orders a radiology test (MRI, CT, X-Ray, or Ultrasound) to help diagnose and treat your medical problem.

      Your doctor may advise where you have the test, but the decision is yours. You can take your radiology order to any facility that offers the test. Hospital-owned facilities typically charge more than independent outpatient facilities. Ask your doctor for facility choices.

      Your doctor's office might schedule the test for you, but once you have the signed order you can schedule or re-schedule the test at the facility you choose. Not all imaging facilities are the same; cost can vary greatly, even for patients with insurance. Ask questions; be informed.

      Schedule Onsite

      Stop in at any of our statewide center locations to schedule with our front desk.

      Additionally, your healthcare provider’s office staff can assist you with scheduling your appointment as all diagnostic imaging procedures must be referred by your physician and require a signed referral.

      It is extremely important for you to keep your scheduled appointment. If an emergency prevents you from keeping it, please call our office prior to your scheduled appointment time, to cancel or reschedule. This simple step will prevent unnecessary delays for all of our patients.

      2. Photo ID and Insurance Cards

      You will need to bring a form of identification and current insurance card(s)

      3. Prior Studies

      Any previous, relevant imaging exams and reports performed outside of our network

      4. Payment

      Uninsured Patients: Payment is required at time of services rendered
      Insured Patients: At time of service, you will be required to pay any deductible, co-pay or coinsurance dictated by your insurance plan

    • Pricing

      How much will an MRI, CT or Arthrogram cost?

      Patients are learning that they should price comparison shop for their healthcare expenditures, including studies such as MRI, CT or Arthrogram. We proudly serve the residents of Mobile, and will provide estimates upon request. If your healthcare provider has written you an imaging referral for a diagnostic test, we will be happy to deliver a no-commitment price quote (no appointment necessary) based on your current insurance plan. Even if you don’t have insurance, our staff can quickly communicate the cost of your exam.

      Requests received before 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, will receive a same-day response. Requests received after 4 p.m., on weekends, or on holidays will receive a response the next business day.

      You have a choice, so compare the difference!

      Not all imaging facilities are the same; price can vary greatly, even if you have insurance. If your doctor orders an MRI, CT or Arthrogram, you have a choice where that test is performed. Choosing a non-hospital owned facility like MRI & Imaging of Alabama can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Remember, when it comes to medical imaging, you do have a choice!
